It's all there. It was already worth the trip to Myers Park or even Southend to get yourself a scoop of brambleberry crisp. Now if you live in Ballantyne, Blakeney or even Providence, you can get Jeni's ice cream in your backyard. Only real downside is that the Blakeney location truly does lack for seating, even by the standard's of Jeni's.

Jeni's has already been open since November 2022. You can walk into the Blakeney location and staff will more than happily scoop out some of your favorite flavors like blackout chocolate cake or coffee with cream and sugar.
However, Jeni's has decided its South Charlotte branch will host its grand opening ceremony on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 7-11 p.m.
All night, from 7-11 pm, Jeni's intends to give out free scoops of ice cream. For the first 50 guests, they intend to give away free swag bags in addition to free ice cream.
What is Jeni's
For the uninitiated in Charlotte, Jeni's is a national ice cream chain founded by Jeni Britton in Columbus, Ohio. Jeni's prides itself on using family owned farms and dairies to source the ingredients for their ice cream. Where they can't do that, they search out the next best alternative with Free and Direct Trade suppliers. It all pays off in the smoothness and flavor of the final product.
Jeni's Growth
They've since spread to 20 different cities, with locations across the US, opening their first location in Charlotte, NC in 2018. Located in Southend, Jeni's was a huge hit. For almost 5 years now, on weekends, winter or summer, you'll always see revelers standing in line all night long waiting their turn for a sweet delicious scoop of ice cream.
The success of their Southend location prompted them to go all in on Charlotte opening up two more locations in Noda and near Myer's Park. And with this new shop in Blakeney, their fourth location in nearly as many years, it doesn't look like they intend to slow down.
